The Manchester Wags – in the red corner !
Let me introduce you to the delectable Sam Cooke (born 1985), as if there is a need for introductions., Sam. who is currently dating Chris Smalling, centre back for Manchester United, is an English Glamour model and Page three girl from Manchester and has appeared in numerous British “lads mags”, including including FHM, FRONT, Maxim, Loaded, Zoo and Nuts.

Sam, studied physics, chemistry, biology and psychology at college. She then considered a career in BioChemistry but got a little bored and so decided to send a picture of herself into The Sun for their ‘Page 3 Idol’ competition and I guess the rest is history. Obviously when the famous singer Sam Cooke sang “don’t know much about history, don’t know much biology etc” did not have this lovely lady in mind when writing the lyrics.

Sam has recently began to DJ under the name DJ Sam Cooke, and spins a mix of funky and tribal house is. She has also raised £5,000 for a breast cancer campaign by doing a skydive, with her clothes on although that would be one very tricky photo shoot is she was to bare all her assets !

With these amazing 30F-28-34 measurements, we are not sure how those petite size four feet defy the laws of gravity! In my opinion Sam is not a brassy wag but a very classy wag, bright, beautiful, sensitive ,caring and also lists her mum as one of her heroes!

Today’s newspapers claim that the Blues are highly likely to lose their star midfielder Ramires this summer, as Real Madrid’s manager Mourinho has reportedly grown an interest in his services.

The 25-year-old midfielder joined Chelsea in 2010 for a transfer fee of £19.8m, and he managed to establish himself as a top player at the club ever since, while continuing to pile up on his national team selections, getting to 27 appearances for Brazil.

The in-form midfielder was one of the most important players at Chelsea who ,despite the fact that will miss the final, has played a vital role in securing the side’s Champions League final spot against Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid are rumoured to be in search for a few reinforcements which can help the club reach new heights in their attempt to retain the Champion status they have in Spain and try to also win the Champions League next season.

Mourinho is looking to secure Ramires for a transfer fee of £30m, but it’s going to be close to impossible to do this as his rumoured release clause is around the fabulous sum of £100m. The Blues are also looking to enhance their squad after what was a disappointing season for them in the Premiership, and that will surely make Mourinho’s task an even greater one.

The Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard’s fight for a first team position continues at the national team as well, after the Danish international expressed his wish to get called-up to this summer’s EURO 2012.

Even though Lindegaard has not played for Man United since injuring his ankle in February, with De Gea monopolizing the position, the 28-year-old wants to show that he is fit and ready to represent his country at international level for Denmark.

“We will look at Lindegaard when we have a chance and after that we’ll make a decision,” The Denmark manager Morten Olsen said yesterday.

“However, we must be thorough and have respect for the other players, not bringing ones that are half-injured.”

“I want to represent my country at the Euros,” Lindegaard said

“I will support the team, whether it is from the pitch, in the stands or on TV.

“But the last couple of weeks was a target to get fit for that. Now I am at a point where I am fit and I am ready to go.”

Should he go to the EUROS, could Lindegaard show Alex Ferguson that he is ready to challenge De Gea for his first team place at United again? De Gea himself has absolutely no chance of playing for Spain as long as the likes of Valdes and Casillas are still alive and kicking?

Manchester United’s attempts to sign Dutch star Wesley Sneijder might fall short of the objective once again as Inter Milan’s president Massimo Moratti spoke about his interest to keep the attacking midfielder.

The playmaker has been one of the best players this season at Inter, despite the Italian giants having a awgul year, falling short of a Champions League qualifying spot. It seems that Sir Alex Ferguson’s attempts to sign Sneijder won’t come to an easy conclusion, as the Italians are looking to rebuild their squad and get right back on the horse after the downfall they’ve seen since Mourinho left the club.

“We consider him a main player for Inter’s future. So there aren’t problems”, Moratti told a radio show made by Inter Club Malta.

Sneijder was close to signing with United last summer when the playmaker stated his wish to play in the Premiership and was even linked to Arsenal and Manchester City as well. It was believed that United’s bid was snubbed and that Sneijder stayed at the club mostly against his will, but if he really wants to come to the Premiership he’ll surely have his chance once again as Ferguson is likely to still likely to have Sneijder on his wish-list.

Arsenal have been watching Belgian international attacking midfielder Eden Hazard for a very long time now, and they even attempted to transfer him last summer when Lille snubbed their offer wanting to keep hold of the talented youngster for an extra season.

Despite Arsene Wenger’s long-term interest, it seems now that the Gunners are about to lose the chase for the 22-year-old’s signature after Manchester United and Manchester City took an interest in him.

There’s nothing more frustrating than seeing that the Gunners are so close to transferring such a talented footballer, and then he joins City or United, but whatever happened between last summer and now?

Newspapers have even stopped considering Arsenal as a real candidate to sign the Belgian after Mancini and Ferguson were seen in France watching the star in action, but Wenger had his eyes on him for a very long time, so why aren’t Arsenal a favorite anymore?

It seems that Hazard is really not going to join Arsenal after newspapers have reported seeing him looking for a house in Manchester. According to the same publications, the two rival clubs are set to battle it out for his services in the summer, but what’s Wenger waiting for?

If Chelsea so the unthinkable and lift the trophy tonight, more on the betting later, the rumours say that Luka Modric will use it as a lever to get out of White Hart Lane. There is obviously no chance he will go to Arsenal and a London exit looks more than likely.

That leaves us and the neighbours with a possibility of Liverpool getting involved. Actually, Modric does look a little bit like a Scouser”

Modric himself fanned the flames when he said: “I will decide about my future after the Euros. I will make the decision where to continue my career. I’m ready for the big tests.” I think that means he will make the decision later tonight. No Champions League? Great excuse for a pay rise!

I like him, but, I don’t want players coming to United just for a pay cheque – we’ve had a few of them over the years and it does not feel right.

In a way, I’m pleased that City have joined Chelski in the billionaire’s club – they can have the “I want £200k+ a week and don’t care where I play” players. I want players who want to win trophies for Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United. Yep maybe Rooney did come for a fat wallet, but he grew into United pretty quickly. We have good young Manchester through and through reserves but one or two top, top signings would really kick start next season for me and Modric could be one.

Right, onto the bets. I turned in a pretty good profit over the last few days, see earlier articles, and now it’s time to re-invest.

West Ham, at even money in 90 minutes, must be a good thing but extra time could be the killer. so I am having 7 points on West Ham to be promoted with BetFred at 4/7.

For those who don’t like short prices, how about 2 points on Ribery to be the first scorer in the Champions League final at a best priced 9/1 with Ladbrokes. Get On!

Despite his spats wit Sir Alex Ferguson, Roy Keane is full of praise for both. In an interview yesterday, he said:

“Never write off United. Never doubt United”

“United always bounce back. It’s in the nature of the club. They will probably buy one or two players, which they probably would have done even if they had won the league, and it’s exciting for the people of Manchester. Sunday was a hard one for them to take, but I think United fans will actually enjoy that challenge because the games are closer.”

“When you are a manager in sport at the top level, the challenges will drive you on to another level and United have always responded.

“Going back over donkeys years when Blackburn had a decent spell, Arsenal, look at them they haven’t won anything for seven years now, Chelsea, they are coming back a little bit now. Liverpool, look where they are now.

“United will enjoy that challenge. And you can see that in his eyes.

“People have written him off a few years ago when Chelsea won the league a couple of years running, saying he was finished, but he is still going strong.

“He will want to go out on a winning note but just listening to him and watching him he will go on for a few years yet.

“If they win the league next year, or the Champions League I think he will carry on.

“Listen, there were disappointments in Europe and the Cup.

“But they won the league on goal difference and all of a sudden we are saying how brilliant Man City are.

“It was goal difference. There are fine lines at this level.”

It’s nice to hear Roy talking up Man Utd again. With Gary Neville having one cheek in the England chair, perhaps Roy fancies his chances of getting back in at United?

Before you devour me and throw me to the Spuds, will you listen out to me? I’m not going to waste more than 5 minutes of your time, as it looks like I’ve lost the ability to write much. But on the whole, I do have a question from my side.

Marouane Chamakh started off his Arsenal career with a bang, with 10 goals in his first 21 appearances and linking quite well with the rest of the team. In the absence of Robin van Persie, he had to head Arsenal’s attack week in week out without any rest in between. When RVP did return, he got a well-deserved rest, chilling off after being completely burned out. Now we all know what happened when our captain returned, and how he nearly single-handedly carried Arsenal forward. Amidst all this, Chamakh retreated into the shadows, not having to play that big a role.

After that, when he HAS played, his performances haven’t quite been up to scratch. Just 1 goal in the whole of last season, with just 7 starts and 12 substitute appearances spread throughout the campaign aren’t stats expected from the striker of a world-class team, and it has left a lot of people asking for more from him. More so, that some people have completely written him off, and frankly, I can’t really find any fault with that. There’s a certain level of play that we expect from an Arsenal player, and he hasn’t been anywhere up to the mark.

But after all this, relax. Take a breath. Just try to think of Chamakh, the player without thinking of Arsenal, the team which deserves to win trophies. Do you honestly believe that Chamakh is a player who can, in no way possible, help our team in winning the trophies it deserves to? Do you believe that Chamakh is one of the few failures of Wenger’s scouting policy?

I for one, cant really share that mentality. Sure, I see all the various areas of complaint that are associated with Chamakh, the striker. But I do honestly see what Arsene saw in him in his time at Bordeaux. He saw one of the best headers of the ball, he saw a player who can really hold the ball up well. He saw a player who should be at the peak of his striker days at 26 then, and he took a gamble on him. And at the start, it seemed to be paying off.

I still think that Chamakh has a future at Arsenal, and that given a good pre-season with 3 or 4 goals, he may come back a fresh player next season. He won’t ever be first choice at Arsenal, but he’s one of the better players to have on the bench in case of emergencies. We’ve seen the effect he has on the opposition defenders when he comes on, with them going man-to-man on him giving RVP more space to operate in. We saw this against Norwich, and I believe that if given the opportunity, we may get to see him at his best yet in an Arsenal shirt.

So what about you guys? Do you still believe that Marouane Chamakh may yet taste success at Arsenal FC, equivalent to the success he seems to be having with the ladies?

We didn’t lose the game; we just ran out of time.

What a season. What a league. What a Sunday afternoon.

I have had to allow myself a couple of days to fully calm down and resume normal breathing patterns whilst collecting my thoughts following last Sunday’s electrifying display of epic madness that we like to call ‘footie’. I wanted to really think about the season and how it has played out with its twists and turns and highs and lows before I put the following three words down in writing for all to see.

Best. Season. Ever.

It has just been utterly immense from start to finish. From every angle there has been anguish and jubilation, there were surprises and controversy and of course there was Thierry Henry. I’ve picked out a few of my personal season highlights.

-> For only the second time ever in the history of the Premier League all three promoted teams have stayed up.

-> The return of the golden oldies. Thierry Henry reignited the fire at the Emirates and, I believe, a massive catalyst in Arsenal’s sudden epic turnaround and was the reason for many of the players rediscovering confidence and form. This doesn’t include Ramsey of course. And how about a little shout out for Mr Paul Scholes? He has always been great but his comeback was at another intensity.

-> Controversies. Tevez refusing to warm up against Bayern Munich sent football fans into Facebook status updating frenzies, ‘politely’ expressing their considered opinions. There were the race rows surrounding Suarez and Terry. Now, being the bright and breezy optimist that I am, I can rustle up one small thank you to John Terry and his foul mouth. Thank you for getting rid of Capello. Now we have Roy! Who has decided to take Downing to the Euros… Great.

-> Of course there was the heroic Arsenal comeback midway through the season. I have to say ‘midway through the season’ as it sort of fizzled out with about 6 games to go. When third seemed solid Arsenal decided to ‘chillax’ somewhat and try and shake up the regular beating hearts of Arsenal fans and get them jumping. And that they did. We let our Champions League hopes and dreams be decided by our biggest footballing North London rivals, Tottenham. Thank you Aston Villa!

-> Sunday May 13th. What a day.

If this is what being a football fan is all about then sign me up for life. I don’t think I have ever experienced so much dread, elation, hope and distress solidly for 90 minutes every single week. It has been exhausting and worth every new wrinkle on my face and palpitation in my heart. I need the summer to recover.

I can’t brush over the fact that there is a complete and utter buffoon in this wonderful footballing world. Joey Barton. In my opinion, he lost Manchester United the League. Through his elbowing, kneeing and headbutting ways, he pretty much handed City all of their 5 minutes of added time which they used to take the win. Had it not been for that senseless, bumbling, baboon I wouldn’t have had to witness Nasri lifting silverware. However, in his defence, without that 94th minute goal, Sunday would not have been quite as exhilarating as it turned out to be. But he’s still a tw@t.

Now if we could all dig deep this summer into our pockets, our wallets and our savings. If we could all gather up as much hard cash as we can stretch our hands to. If we can then place this cash into a gold encrusted duffel bag, I will take it to Van Persie’s home with a note that simply reads “Please!”
